Freedom Kids.

Explore the ministry opportunities for your children at Freedom Church.

At Freedom Kids, we're committed to helping children find & follow Jesus. Our goal is to lay the foundations for a life-long relationship with Jesus in a fun and safe environment. We believe through partnering with parents, we can raise up the next generation to passionately pursue the plan God has for them.

About

Freedom Church offers programs for kids who are 6 weeks old through 5th grade. Through interactive bible stories, song, art, & games, your children will not only have a great time but will be excited to learn more about Jesus in a safe, & structured environment.

Your first visit

Here's what to expect when visiting Freedom Kids for the first time:

First, enter the building where you see the a-frame sign "Kids Check-In". There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room. After you check your child in, you can head to the main Worship Center for a cup of coffee and find your seats.

How check-in works

Before Service: You can check-in your child at our Freedom Kids check-in desk or via our CHURCH CENTER APP link if you are not a new guest. After checking your child in, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching security tag.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your security tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will personally text you if your child has an immediate need. We ask that you exit the Worship Center immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

Your Kids Are Safe

Volunteers at Freedom on campus are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their children while they are in service. Every volunteer is screened with a background check and the kids hallway is monitored by security personnel. Don't worry parents - we've got this!

Kids Curriculum

Freedom uses Orange Curriculum & the Orange Strategy. This curriculum aligns leaders and parents to create community around a timeless message that mobilizes the next generation to love God and serve others.

First, your kids will experience an age appropriate lesson that will teach them about God and His love for them. The teaching is interactive and utilizes multiple approaches for different learning styles. The goal at Freedom Kids is to raise up world-changers who understand who Jesus is and how that changes their lives. And, they'll have a ton of fun!

Second, we also help parents go beyond attending weekly service so that you can engage in your child's life and lead them into deeper faith in Jesus. We do this by sending weekly email devotions to you as well as showing you every month what your kids are learning!

Special Needs

For many families, church is a safe space of encouragement, support, and connection. Not only do adults get opportunities to learn about God and connect with others, but children do, too. So we don’t take kids’ ministry lightly around here. We know that the church should be a place where all families feel safe dropping their child off. They should leave feeling confident that their kid will be loved and supported. That includes families of children with special needs.

If you have a child with special needs, we want you to know our Freedom Kids staff & volunteers are equipped. We receive yearly training from Peri Reed of Shreveport Counseling & Restoration Center. Peri is a licensed play therapist & has helped us develop ways to engage in caring and calming strategies that help children with a variety of special needs.

Freedom Church also has a space called the "Calming Corner". Should a child become over stimulated, our volunteers are equipped with a space to help your child relax & get re-centered. This includes a colorful booklet where your child can identify how they are feeling in the moment, a special sensory toy box and, if needed, noise canceling headphones.
